Private Surf Lesson (1 Person) — $195 (2.5 hours) Our Private Surf Lesson at Short Sands Beach (Oswald West State Park) is the most personalized way to learn to surf on the North Oregon Coast. It’s just you, the ocean, and your coach—no distractions, no pressure, and a pace built entirely around your comfort level and goals. With a 1:1 instructor-to-student ratio, every part of the lesson is customized: ocean safety, board choice, reading waves, paddling technique, timing, and pop-ups. This option is ideal for first-time surfers, beginners who want extra care, surfers working on specific skills, or anyone who simply learns best one-on-one—especially in Oregon’s cold-water conditions.
