Service Description

Group Surf Lesson (4–8 People) — $165 per person (2.5 hours) Our Group Surf Lesson is the ultimate shared surf experience on the North Oregon Coast—built for families, friend groups, reunions, birthday crews, and teams who want a fun challenge and a real ocean memory together. This is not a “herd everyone into the water” situation. We teach with structure, safety, and clear coaching so every surfer feels supported—especially in Oregon’s cold-water conditions. Each lesson is run with an organized, safety-first approach that keeps instruction clear while maintaining high group energy. We start on the beach with a full breakdown (ocean safety, technique, timing), then move into the water with hands-on coaching, wave selection guidance, and real-time feedback. Whether it’s your first time surfing or you’ve tried before, the lesson adapts to the group’s comfort level and goals. What’s Included • 2.5-hour group lesson (beach instruction + water time) • Structured coaching designed to keep groups safe and progressing • Surfboard + full wetsuit included for every participant • Ocean safety + surf etiquette (confidence starts here) • Beach coaching: stance, pop-up mechanics, paddling basics, positioning, timing • In-water coaching: wave selection, entry/exit, timing, pop-ups, control • Local Oregon Coast knowledge: tides, currents, swell, safe zones, conditions • A supportive, encouraging learning environment Why Groups Rock Group lessons bring the best kind of pressure: your people cheering you on. You’ll get shared momentum, laughs, and real progression—while instruction stays organized, calm, and safety-focused. It’s a powerful way to learn together and build lasting memories in the ocean. Great For • Families and friend groups (4–10 people) • Birthdays, reunions, and group celebrations • Youth groups (please confirm ages) • Small teams or community groups looking for connection and challenge Location & Conditions All sessions are held at Short Sands Beach, with daily adjustments based on swell, tide, wind, and safety. This protected cove offers an ideal balance of consistency, challenge, and learning conditions on the Oregon Coast. Requirements • Basic swimming ability required • No prior surf experience necessary • Expect moderate physical activity (breaks always welcome) Why SurfLife SurfLife is a locally owned surf school rooted in cold-water surf culture. We focus on safety, confidence, and real progress—never rushed, never overcrowded.
